Vito LoPiccolo

Vito LoPiccolo is a retired Detroit police officer and retired host of the ‘Motor City Motor Sports’ radio program which was heard on WLQV-AM (1500). His show was heard Wednesdays at 7 p.m. from April-September. LoPiccolo once did public relations work for Michigan International Speedway and is a past president of the Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club. Vito is a past officer of the Detroit Sports Broadcasters Association and an Active Member.  He was honored with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s Tony Hulman Award, given for ‘unselfish devotion to auto racing,’ it’s named for the late patriarch of the Hulman family, which owns the world’s most famous speedway.
