Dan Dickerson

Dan Dickerson, voice of the Detroit Tigers, made his Tigers broadcasting debut during the 2000 season. Prior to joining the Tigers Radio Network, Dickerson did a variety of jobs in radio including six and one-half years with WWJ Newsradio 950 as host of a post-game call-in show following Detroit Lions broadcasts and serving a sideline reporter for University of Michigan football. Additionally, Dickerson anchored WWJ’s news and sports on the weekends and served as general assignment news reporter.

Dickerson has won several awards from the Associated Press including ‘Best Live Broadcast, Sporting Event’ (1996 and 1998), and ‘Best Coverage of Breaking News’ and ‘Best Sports Feature’ (1994).
