Marketing Communications Coordinator



Education Requirements: Bachelors’s, specialized degree or the equivalent in professionally compensate experience.

Experience Requirements: Minimum of four years functional experience in marketing communications, digital media, public relations, advertising or a combination thereof. Bachelor’s, specialized degree, or the equivalent in professional compensated experience.

Special Requirements: Knowledge of Catholic beliefs, leadership, organization and structure.




Key Responsibilities

 Create, update, and enhance print and digital executions including web and social media to market and communicate CCSEM programs, services, and fundraising initiatives. Executions range from event invitations and program brochures to PowerPoint presentations and public relations outreach.
 Continually refine CCSEM’s public and internal websites as well as social media so visitors effortlessly navigate and use information, features, and functionality. Measurement, analysis, recommendations, and refinement implementation are organic to this position. Administer website content: strategize, design, create, edit, update, publish, archive, and remove. Oversee web and social media content to ensure it is relevant and all functions of websites and social media properly function.
 Author, edit, and proofread material in collaboration with colleagues throughout the agency.
 Upon completion of creative executions, implement cross-platform distribution through a variety of marketing and communication vehicles including social media posts, email blasts, e-newsletters, emails to parish contacts, and several other pathways.
 Perform regular reviews of print materials, websites, and social media to ensure content accuracy, timeliness and relevance including location information, personnel, contact information, and programmatic information.
 Collaborate with design/development/multimedia resources and individual outside contractors; coordinate resources, project manage, and implement changes.
 Coordinate timely responses to inquiries, comments, suggestions, and requests from website inquiries to fulfilling print materials reorders from agency colleagues.
 Coordinate vicariate outreach, presentations, and volunteer-presenters as well as parish outreach.
 Assist in visibility efforts to raise parishioner top of mind awareness heading into the annual parish appeal/collection conducted on behalf of CCSEM in November.
 Assist in the design and production of customized donor communication and stewardship materials.
 Assist in the design and production of agency fundraising mailing and related digital executions such as crowdfunding initiatives and micro-campaigns.
 Assist in writing, editing, and distribution agency newsletters.
 Assist with fundraising events and activities including PowerPoints, signage, and direct event support staffing.
 Work with internal clients and leadership to determine program and service marketing and communication needs.
 Track and report actions on metrics and trends. Recommend actions.
 Work co-cooperatively with key vendors, internal clients, CCSEM fundraising volunteers, and various team members.


 Excellent writing and editing skills. Excellent verbal/written communication skills; exceptional spelling, grammar, and proof reading.
 Knowledgeable of Catholic beliefs, leadership, organization and structure.
 Strong critical thinking, analytical skills; high level of accuracy; exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
 Competent/conversant in cross-platform strategies; email blast applications. Familiar with and fluent in component applications of Microsoft Office Suite and WordPress.
 Experience using content management systems, blogging and email marketing software. Experience with web programming using HTML a plus.
 Ability to respond to fellow employees, phone calls in normal office environment that deals with frequent interruptions and deadline projects
 Resourceful, reliable and accountable with a strong work ethic.
 Project management experience and skills.
 Understanding of digital and traditional marketing and media disciplines
