Account Executive


This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and additions, deletions, or changes can be made at any time. DUTIES PERFORMED: 1. Sell advertising time and space on Channel 7 and as well as various other media products to businesses and advertising agencies. 2. Prepare and present sales pitches to owners, managers and agencies, negotiating rates and budgets. 3. Increase shares of business from existing accounts. 4. Create non-traditional revenue opportunities. 5. Utilize research to position the station as a premiere marketing vehicle and yourself as a marketing consultant. 6. Develop online new business accounts. 7. Perform client services including but not limited to avail presentations, package preparation, copy writing, credit applications, collections, etc. 8. Perform other duties as needed or as directed by sales management. REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: A four year college degree preferred. EXPERIENCE: Previous media sales and/or business development experience preferred. Television sales a plus. A strong proven track record of new business development. EQUIPMENT: Working knowledge of Microsoft applications. LICENSE/CERTIFICATE: Valid drivers license with no more than four (4) points in the past 36 months and proof of insurability (must carry liability limits of $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident/$50,000 property) SKILLS/ABILITIES: Candidates must be self motivated, creative, and possess strong people skills; detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills; have the ability to work within a team framework.
